Plants vs. Zombies: The Board Game, a board game twist on the iconic tower-defense series, has been announced, and alongside it they’ve also announced their upcoming Kickstarter.
Plants vs. Zombies: The Board Game is aiming to be a fast-paced cooperative tabletop game for one to four players, adding a new level to the Plants vs. Zombies franchise. Players will be working together to outsmart both hilarious and threatening zombie hordes by growing defensive lines of precocious plants, which will protect their homestead.
The plants that you’ve known and loved from the Plants vs. Zombies video game are featured in the boardgame, from Cherry Bombs to Wall-nuts, so those familiar with the video game will know well what their options are. Plants vs. Zombies: The Board Game have different series of levels, which bring forward various challenges, new plants, and different zombies. There is also a Zen Garden campaign, that has difficulty scaling to match the group’s skill, so that new players aren’t left behind.
The goal of the board game, as always, is to stop the zombies from reaching your house! Together, players must defend and hopefully win.
The Kickstarter will feature a collector’s edition, containing exclusive content that will only be available through this funding round. There isn’t a set date for the Kickstarter to launch, but you can check out the page and enable notifications on launch.
