Tiny Bookshop now available on console, alongside physical release

0
Last year’s Tiny Book Shop, from neoludic games, is the latest game to get a physical release, this one coinciding with the console release.

Tiny Bookshop is a cozy, slice of life style game where you play as the owner of a traveling bookshop – looking to travel to small towns and sell your books to people who would really appreciate them. There is a sense of community and learning about the individuals nearby, while also having a successful business. It’s a lovely little game. After it’s PC release in August, Tiny Bookshop is now out on Xbox, Nintendo Switch and PlayStation, with the latter two having physical releases for collectors that are keen on having physical games.

Tiny Bookshop is nice to play. It feels calm and cosy, as a game from this genre should, but I could see it getting a little tiresome over a longer period of time as ultimately you’re doing the same thing everyday: choose venue, choose books, click on background. This is very much the sort of game you can turn your brain off and relax to, but I don’t think it will hold your attention long term as things rarely change. It’s nice to find a new location or meet a new local, but none of that really alters what you do. For avid readers, seeing all the novels appear as you help customers is lovely, but I can see that becoming a little tiresome after a while too, as people tend to ask for fairly similar things.” said Rob Covell in our review.

The physical edition of Tiny Bookshop includes a digital soundtrack code, a digital artbook code and physical, exclusive Tiny Bookshop bookmark. It’s a decent bit of kit for those looking to collect it!

Tiny Bookshop’s physical release is in partnership with Skystone Games and Silver Lining Interactive. It’s always fun to see indie games being release as physical units, with proper box art and exclusives within the package.
