What type of game is it?

First Person Exploratory Horror

What’s the 30 second elevator pitch?

An open-world, exploration focused horror title that adapts it’s scares and atmospheric music based on your action and the route you have decided to take.

What do we like most about it?

From what has been shown of RE77 (working title) we’re looking at an atmospheric horror title that plays perfectly with nigh-on photo-realistic textures and lighting effects. As a matter of fact, the ‘first 8 minutes of…’ trailer on the greenlight page looks simply phenomenal,with the player’s focus and vision blurred by the extreme light, and requiring time to adjust to the light.

That said, the game is extremely early in development, and games of this calibre are regularly promised but rarely fulfilled – although it’s impossible to deny that prepackaged engines and frameworks are increasing success rates.

There’s a demo over on the developer’s itch.io page. Why not give it a look and spread the word on what you feel about it? It looks horrifying, and rife with jump scares – two things I don’t look for in games… but, it’s impossible to deny that it is full to the brim with potential.

When’s it due?

RE77 doesn’t currently seem to have a listed release date. When it launches it will do so for Windows PC.
