That’s Dope: After Dark Edition is comprised of Adult only questions
That’s Dope is a party game with a simple concept: Having people react with Nope or Dope to various questions. It is incredibly easy to understand, and its an idea that – as you can imagine – can stretch to quite a few different categories. That’s Dope: After Dark Edition can be played as a standalone smaller game or added in as a new category to the base game.
As I said before, it’s simple; everyone gets Nope or Dope cards. One person reads out a card, then everyone else selects Nope or Dope depending on their thoughts on the topic. The reader then guesses how many Nopes or Dopes there will be, everyone reveals, and often, conversation is had. The That’s Dope: After Dark Edition is an adult only category, with an XXX label at the top of each card to show that it’s from this set. There is a mix of cards within this pack’s category, from outright sexual acts to gross things to stuff that’s just quite dark or strange. One card said $500 to slap the person across from them in the face, for example. Others were about pooping or about intimate acts with partners.
It’s definitely not a pack to play with strangers or the parents, but for those that tend to like edgy games or packs that feel a bit more toeing-the-line, these cards will very much start some conversations and possibly reveal more information than you needed to know about the individuals playing. The expansion does come with a how to play card and enough Dope / Nope cards to play the game, which is how it works as a stand alone pack. If you are adding it to the base game, it’s clear that you can nearly double the amount of players!
You can find Dope or Nope: After Dark Edition on their website.
