Sometimes, you need to spice things up in your office, and how better than by hiding dozens of cat statues around it? Yes, Secret Paws – Cozy Offices is another hidden cat object game, this time with a 3D rendering of an office, that you can rotate to reveal a bunch of colorful cats.
Unlike previous hidden object cat games, the cats in Secret Paws – Cozy Offices are sort of like cat toys, coming in a variety of shapes sizes and colors, so they really blend in. Sometimes, they are even fallen on their sides or pushed way back, tucked away in an area, so you can almost not see them. There is a hint system, that reveals cats by giving them a red glow, but it doesn’t take you to the area of the screen they are in, so you can often still be left looking!
Rotating the room shows different angles, which can reveal some of the hidden cats — it’s almost like there are four levels in each room Instead of needing to complete a level to unlock the next, you can move freely between the entire office floor, with a different number of cats to find in each room.
Secret Paws – Cozy Offices has a lot of hidden areas as well; Windows to be opened, drawers to be looked through, shelves to be scavenged. Although the cats aren’t very realistic, it’s fun finding them hidden about and it feels satisfying completing a room and moving onto the next. At one point, my daughter Amelia actually moved through an office room and couldn’t find her way back to the room she had come from!
I will say, the mouse movement on Xbox for this game is really not great — you move a lot for a little tiny touch, which does make me feel like it would be better suited to another device. With that said, we did enjoy solving a bunch of the rooms together, and found that having these cat-like figures were a good break from realistic cats to find. Some of them are just so cute!
