Pass the Biscuit – Fun charades game

0
We’ve played a few of these sort of charades styled games by now — the ones where players have a deck of cards and need to get their partner to guess the word or phrase on the card without you saying the word or phrase. Pass the Biscuit is this type of game, but the box is a metal biscuit tin and the different decks are cute biscuits.

There are a few different decks to work with, each of which look like a traditional British biscuit. All of the players need to decide on a stack of cards then split into teams of two. The game itself has three rounds and there is a little booklet that allows you to score up at the end of each round, which gets more challenging as it goes on. In the first round of Pass the Biscuit, one player reads the card and starts saying words so the other person can guess what the word is. A timer ticks down, which is quite fast, and when it’s done the deck moves to the next team. Teams should rotate who is the reader and who is the guesser, and this continues until the deck is out.

Then, everyone counts up their score and adds it to the sheet. There are some super hard cards that have a bonus point to them. The deck is then shuffled back up and you move to round two. Now, everyone should know roughly what the cards are within the deck. Players will then mime the cards, without saying a word, and try to get each other to guess. This continues in the same way until all of the cards are guessed, they are counted up, and you move to round three. On the third round, the teams can only say one associated word to the word on the card, making it very challenging. Teams can skip one card per time that they are guessing, but this is quite limited so that players don’t just jump to easy cards and get them all done.

Pass the Biscuit is such a cute game when it comes to the style of biscuits. I do wish the decks were sort of themed, so that there were different themes to play through, but we found the different words and phrases to be fitting and fun to guess. I do like the different rounds, though the game can be played more casually. It feels like a great party game for family gatherings and hanging out with friends.
