Gunnar’s glasses offer solid eye protection and remain stylish for office use or out and about That’s no different when it comes to the Gunnar Haywards, which continue to deliver, sporting a grey frame, solid construction and subtle yellow lenses.
The Gunnar Hayward’s are part of Gunnar’s Trace collection, inspired and designed with California’s tech hubs in mind. Sporting rectangular lenses and using an acetate constructed frame the glasses feel both solid and sturdy when being worn and are comfortable but fit well enough to not slip from your head when moving.
The lenses also feature the G-shield premium coating making them smudge and scratch resistant, even when handling them the glasses remain easy to see through and clear ensuring that you won’t be seeing those blurry spots over and over again if you touch them while taking them off and on. The metal springs and outer parts compliment the Teak grey nicely and offer decent movement when opening and closing the glasses although at times they do feel a little stiff to open and close but this ensures they don’t constantly swing open/closed if you’re not wearing them.
I actually prefer the overall look of the Haywards compared to some of Gunnar’s other glasses as they have a rather simplistic and minimalist look to them, they’re subtle, the lenses aren’t overly yellow (these are the 65 amber lenses) and I genuinely forget I’m wearing them while working at a desk.
The Gunnar Hayward glasses are available in both an Onyx black and a Teak grey and can be made both with or without prescription lenses with different levels of blue light protection and yellow lenses.
