What’s the 30 second elevator pitch?
Shoot your way through masses of enemies in as a vertical shooter between randomly generated twin-stick shooter missions aboard gigantic enemy motherships.
What do we like most about it?
This game manages to completely exceed any expectations that might have been set by its silly name (Verby Noun indeed).
The fact that this game combines three different game types, vertical shooter, twin-stick shooter, and turret shooter, is absolutely outstanding. The fact that it does this with underlying procedural generation for some of the mission types is just an extra cherry on top. Then, consider the NES-tastic music on show… it’s just a fantastically designed game.
Yes, the name stinks, but everything else about this game looks to be absolutely brilliant.
When’s it due?
Shooty Space is set to release for Windows PC this holiday season.
