What’s the 30 second elevator pitch?
You play Ruth, a Norwegian milkmaid who has taken over her parents farm following their death, suddenly her life it turned upside-down as an alien ship appears on the cliffs nearby.
What do we like most about it?
The art style is absolutely amazing, and it’s clear that the developer has a massive amount of passion regarding the Lucasarts (and resulting studios) classics. The similarities between an out of their depth, blonde, wannabe pirate who is accused of being a dairy farmer on occasion – with their high trousers and white button shirt – and the protagonist here, is a delightful nod too.
While the trailer does give off the impression that the entire game is without spoken word, the developer has made it clear that not only is the game packed with dialogue and descriptive, but all of the lines in the game are in rhyme.
It all looks, and sounds, as though it has been made with the utmost care, and I’m sure any fans of the point n click classics will find themselves giving this a thumbs-up through greenlight.
When’s it due?
Milkmaid of the Milky Way is set to release before the end of the year, when it does launch it will do so for Windows PC, Mac, and iOS
