Fight your way through the scum of the city as you attempt to return justice to the streets.
What do we like most about it?
The pixel art style and wacky ‘shooting range’ style interaction points work brilliantly. As a matter of fact the game is almost entirely style; with each NPC easily identifiable from the backgrounds, even though those backgrounds are exceptionally busy and detailed.
It’s also the fact that, from what we’ve seen so far, the game is exceptionally fast paced and lethal; like Hotline Miami, but with more stress on accurate shooting than movement and positioning.
I never realised that I wanted signposts to spin when shot in games like this until now; now it’s going to be hard to not be disappointed if other games don’t deliver that – what an excellent, minute detail.
When’s it due?
Milanoir is set to release in mid-2017 for Windows PC.
