What’s the 30 second elevator pitch?
Your band of survivors haunt the highest towers of the zombie-ridden city; airlifting in and barricading for as long as they can before their defences fail and they must relocate.
What do we like most about it?
From what can be gathered from the Kickstarter and greenlight page, the game is a survival game wherein you’re attempting to upgrade and refuel your helicopter, while simultaneously keeping your four survivors alive and supplied. Each night an increasing amount of infected march upon your makeship base, meaning that your progress is along a tidy difficulty gradient that rewards those who can survive for longer.
It’s not just the helicopter that can be upgraded and built. Food, tools and defences -among other stuff- can also be built up, meaning that if you can effectively manage your time and resources, you’ll advance through the game at a much faster pace than those that can’t.
When’s it due?
Highrisers is currently scheduled for a Q4 2017 release date, when it does launch it is expected to do so for Windows PC, Mac & Linux.
