Dead by Daylight has dropped a huge content roadmap at their 10th anniversary stream

Dead by Daylight hosted its 10th anniversary live stream yesterday, celebrating its monumental achievement as a frontrunner in the asymmetrical multilayer genre. The fan event streamed from Montreal’s Old Port and featured a huge variety of onsite events, as well as the aforementioned stream with a huge swathes of announcements.

We already knew about Jason’s imminent arrival in The Fog this week, but we also got a reveal of more chapters.

First up, June 25th will feature a new original character, Shane Wiigwaas. This Indigenous survivor will be helming their own survivor-focused chapter, The Life Road. In August, we have Chorus of Sin, touted as the first chapter to be developed entirely with community collaboration.

The next big hit will be modern day horror icon Art the Clown, due to breach the Realm in November. Mainly known as the villain of the Terrifier franchise, Art has a reputation for brutal, inventive, and spectacularly sadistic kills, so look out to see how this translates into his Mori and kit.

Not only that, those of us who played The Casting of Frank Stone back in late 2024 will be excited to hear its being adapted back into the game it spun out of. That’s right, the core Dead by Daylight is planning to adapt its spin off narrative title in 2027.

Also in 2027 we can expect a huge visual overhaul, including model rework, expanded animations, and general map and environment upgrades!

Speaking of visuals, a huge suite of cosmetics have been revealed too! The Black Banquet Collection (25th June to 16th July) is stuffed to the brim with party and formal wear, and the Sunflesh Collection is appropriately desert themed. We also have four new collaborations lined up in this department too!

Iron Maiden are celebrating their 50th Anniversary with an Eddie outfit for the Huntress, Ice Nine Kills have released a Dead by Daylight themed track and video and have an outfit collection to celebrate. Outside the realm of music, Rick will get to play dress up with full outfits to transform him into fellow The Walking Dead veterans Glenn and Negan, and Cheryl (star of Silent Hill) gets a full transformation converting her into Shimizu Hinako for the recently released SILENT HILL f.

Two new modes have been teased, naming 1v1 and Zombie mode, as well as the official introduction of sandbox nodding, which will be of huge interest for the community.

Lastly, we got a much anticipated update on the updated Blumhouse Atomic Monster Dead by Daylight move, with Stephen Mulrooney, Jason Blum leading a little onstage presentation sharing the vision for the film from Thordur Palsson.

The lengthy celebration was well deserved for the game. On a personal note, I’ve dropped in and out of the player base over the years, but I always make sure any console I have had Dead by Daylight installed and ready to go. As an absolute titan of both horror games and multiplayer games, it’s nice to see that they spent a little victory lap showing how much more support they’re willing to give, and that we should hopefully be seeing a 15th anniversary celebration and beyond!
