Demonschool, a stylish tactics RPG full of interesting characters, is releasing a DLC called Puzzle Killers later this year.

“Demonschool is a very well put together RPG with a fantastically enjoyable combat system. I found myself replaying the same basic fights multiple times as I was keen to “solve the puzzle” in the most efficient way possible. The engaging plot certainly helped push me further into the game too, and whilst I do feel things are a little over explained at times, leading to overly long conversations, the actual game part of Demonschool is enjoyable enough for me to overlook that minor gripe. If you’re interested in a unique JRPG, now would be a good time to enrol.”
The Demonschool Puzzle Killers DLC is focused on puzzle battles, where you are presented with a specific setup that needs to be solved all within one turn. There will be set characters in specific positions, with specific enemies in other positions, so the aim is to ‘solve’ the board.
The puzzles within Demonschool Puzzle Killers is meant to feel more satisfying when they are solved, really focusing in on the thinky element of the game. There will also be two new items that can help you in battles – one that charges any character’s special instantly and another that instantly confers a specific technique. Neither of these new items cost any action points to use either!
When it comes to the content itself in this DLC, there are 50 main puzzles and a new boss that has their own puzzles on them as well. All of this is tied together though a sidequest story, which takes place across the length of the game, starting with week 9. If you have already beaten Demonschool, you will have a concession to play through the puzzle DLC without having to replay the entire game.
