The Sims 4 Shares Upcoming updates for Toddlers, Sleep and general Sim autonomy

Everyone has known and heard of, if not played, The Sims. It’s just one of those games that has been around for so long, with The Sims 4 having lots of content add-ins, updates, and customizable throughout development. So it’s no surprise that The Sims 4 team is going to focus on making a bunch of improvements and fixes over the next few months!

The developers behind the game have released a Laundry List detailing over 150 fixes and features that will be coming to the base game on May 12th, and it’s a large list based on the community’s highest requested and voted asks; including optimizations for Toddlers, Sleep and general Sim autonomy, along with bug fixes for minor issues.

In the new features front, they are adding a new category to Create a Sim called Base Layers, which aims at letting players express themselves by broadening their fashion choices, providing covered options and improving gender expression with the layerable binder. There will be different layering options depending on the age of the sim feature and over 380 new base layer variants, including color swatches.. so there is a lot that can be done with this feature.

Another major focus of the Sims 4 Laundry List is the improvements to infants and toddlers. They are going to be adding in new Infant Playmat items, which will allow toddlers to play on the playmats instead of the floor. Infants will also have a thought bubble for loud noises, so that players can better understand why they are awake and what they are feeling.

The Sims 4 Laundry List contains hundreds of other fixes and updates, along with additional features being added to the base game, which is very nice to see. In a time where The Sims 4 DLCs are being created for more and more, it’s great to have so much love put into the base game that most people will already have.

To make things more engaging, the developers are also hosting a special Dev Q&A in the Sims Discord on May 5 at  2 pm PT and a Twitch Livestream on May 6 at 10 am PT, where they’ll be showcasing these updates in the game and answering questions live.
