Twisted History – Trivia but strange

0
We’ve played a large number of trivia games during our time covering tabletop games. However, Twisted History has trivia questions I’ve never been asked or wondered the answer to — and that’s its point!

Split between six eras of history, you will be trying to answer some strange, gruesome and sometimes just gross trivia questions that often have you wondering. There were questions about what laws were punishable by death, what order Henry killed his wives, and ways that Ancient Egyptians decided if women were pregnant. It’s a wild ride and you end up hearing a lot about history!

Each time period has its own card deck of questions and players need to take turns answering the questions in these time periods so that they can earn the card. You get three chances in a time period to get a card correct before you move onto the next and need to basically go all the way around to get back to the one you have just missed. There are wild cards in the middle of the card game that can be activated, that sometimes allows you to go backwards, but you’ll need to get that question right to use the wild cards!

I found it very nice that Twisted History does move through time, as I found we were better at some time periods then others. These trivia questions weren’t for younger players, as the game is 14 and above, so do keep that in mind! It’s also worth noting that when you get a question wrong, you will add a tile to your death device, and when you have completely made your death machine (complete with a fact about it) you will die.

It’s a high risk trivia game where you really will be scratching your head and wondering who knows some of these trivia questions! Twisted History seems like a fun entry to the board game collection of anyone that likes trivia but is looking for something a little bit different and possibly something a bit crude.

You can find Twisted History on Amazon.
