Wizdom Academy is a story-driven school-building game, where you need to take on a bunch of management roles to ensure your newly established wizarding school is successful, and that your students go on to live amazing lives outside of the academy!
The first part of your experience in Wizdom Academy is doing a lot of set up! You’ve got a massive plot of land, along with a tree that is currently oozing magic. You will need to follow a guide on creating your school, adding in specific buildings, and making sure everyone has all of the resources they need to start off the academic year.
Once you have rooms set up, you can start recruiting teachers and assigning them classrooms, before allowing students to walk through your halls and attend these lectures. The building aspect of Wizdom Academy feels really fun, as you slot together buildings and move around your plot of land. There are a lot of different buildings you can place in, creating a corridor flow that you want for your school. You can also zoom into the hall and watch the students or teachers walk around and live their lives, which is quite fun to do!
Students have their own uniforms and features that can be customised, giving you further control over the academy that you are building. You will have to preserve mana in order to continue customizing and building.
When I played the demo of Wizdom Academy at The European Game Showcase at GDC, I didn’t get to see much of the story that would be added into the game, but was told there would be magical mysteries that need solving!
