Star Wars Unlimited – Twin Suns Is Here!

0
The Twin Suns variant of Star Wars Unlimited is finally here, letting players test their metal against up to three others in a four way duel. With the new premade Twin Suns decks, you can come ready with one of four options to best your foes with some unique Twin Suns cards and leaders.

It’s important to point out that the format for Twin Suns has been around since Jump to Lightspeed, with the rules being solidified after the fourth set came out. The, now finalised rules, allow for a minimum of 80 cards in your decks, must be comprised solely of unique cards and feature an extra leader aspect. This allows for a much wider variation of deck combination and leader combinations making each battle a more complex, but also more exciting experience.

There’s also the addition of the two new counters which pair with the initiative. These give players a choice to either deal one damage to all other players, to draw and return a card to their hand, or go first on the following phase opening up more opportunities to end your phase tactically.

The most recent set, “A Lawless Time“, released in March, featuring characters set around bounty hunting, criminality and generating credit tokens. Where these cards can be used in the Twin Suns format, the unique prebuilt decks are where the true nature of the four-player fight shines, with cards that affect every player rather than targeting just one — making it quite literally anyone’s game.

With the eternal and premier game modes still being increasingly popular in local stores, Twin Suns evolves the format allowing for bigger, more chaotic decks with twice as many leaders and twice as many possibilities from standard play.

The new Grogu leader card, as well as the Razor Crest promotional cards for the film — The Mandalorian and Grogu — are also available from HMV in the UK with a £15 purchase. This is a tiny peek into the future Ashes of the Empire set that’s to come in July of 2026, with an interesting leader choice that lets you bring out Grogu when a unique unit is played that cost 4 or more but not as an epic action, allowing you to replay him.
