The Last Caretaker announces Content Update 4: Below Us which expands gameplay
The Last Caretaker is a first-person survival crafting adventure game where you need to build, scavenger, defend and launch humanity back to the stars as a very functional robot who can even fight against any sort of enemies. Today, they’ve announced the Content Update 4: Below Us, which is their largest update yet, along with a discount on Steam.
We previously reviewed The Last Caretaker:
“The Last Caretaker is truly an experience of discovery and management but with some very slow parts between quests with your ship being quite cumbersome but you get to spend more time admiring the impressive weather and looming threats scattered across the ocean as you ponder on your next decision and if it’ll be your last.”
The Content Update 4: Below Us completely expands the game’s world, tools systems and the story that you can explore throughout the game. This update allows players to fly through the air, using Salvage Gyro, discovering Gyro Service Towers, and Silo locations all around the map. They can also enter Eden Cradle and uncover it’s questline, delving deeper into the mystery of Project Canticle.
This update also introduces HoloMemory, which is a new system that reveals visual traces of past events within select world locations. There are more collectibles, echoes are fragmented of what came before, and moments left behind in the world waiting to be seen.
Along with all of this, F.E.K.I.S. is cheaper and more customiable, plus PECO terminal, UI, cartridge, minigames, text, screen, and music playback updates can be found in the game.
Whether you’ve previously played The Last Caretaker or want to dive into the game now that it’s had this massive update, it’s well worth taking a look at all the content the game has to offer. And, due to this update, it’s currently 20% off on Steam
