Ubisoft Sneak Release Miniatures PVP Title; Might & Magic Showdown Into Early Access

Might & Magic Showdown is a new title from Ubisoft which takes the publisher’s mainstay turn-based RPG series and adds a miniatures twist to it.

Coming out of Ubisoft Montreal, and Fun House – Ubisoft’s Novelty studio founded to innovate smaller ideas following the successes of Child of Light et al – the new title channels table-top wargaming figurines into the M&M world and setting.

Specifically, the game seems most rich in the customisation of pieces, with figurine painting playing a major focus in the trailer which announced the game that you can find at the foot of the article.

The game currently boasts twenty figurines, a thirty-mission solo campaign, and the PVP.  Early Access is being employed to tweak the balance of the game, but also to get direction on which direction to further develop the title; be that a longer campaign, more modes, figurines, or whatever.

Might & Magic Showdown is available for Windows on Steam via Early Access; as would be expected with Ubisoft as publisher, the game does require a uPlay account. You can find a link below.
