Title: We Were Here
Developer: Total Mayhem Games
What type of game is it?
What’s the 30 second elevator pitch?
A two-player co-operative puzzle game which plays out like an escape room, with both players communicating through in-game walkie-talkies, one from a solution room, and another journeying through a puzzle-laden castle.
What do we like most about it?
It’s always great to see more co-operative games, especially ones that use voice as communication; couch gaming started fading away as internet-gaming dawned, and most of that was competitive focused. Recent movements have started to bring back co-operative and couch gaming; however this delivers on a scale similar to Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes – two players blind to one-another’s screen, having to put complete faith in one another as the pressure mounts.
There’s an alpha demo out for the game, available through a link from the greenlight page, for those of you interested.
When’s it due?
We Were Here is set to release on PC & Mac in early 2017; at time of posting it has already been Greenlit.
