In the latest trailer published by Square Enix, we get to see action packed gameplay with various types of weapons and how they are used as well as the damage they are capable of.
Platinum Games’ sequel title, NieR: Automata has got itself a brand new, action packed, weapon heavy, gameplay trailer. The trailer shows off the various weapon types available within the game, showing spears slashing through enemy forces, swords slicing, guns blasting, and combat bracers delivering brutal smashes to the faces of those evil invaders.
In addition to the showing off with weapons, we get to see some fantastic action and combat moves being unleashed by the characters, showing a fluid battle system working in conjunction with the games four weapon types. Small swords, large swords, spears, and combat bracers. These weapons can be upgraded through skill trees, and characters “Pod” can upgrade its ranged weapon support.
The game will also feature crossover weapons as featured in the Iconic Trailer last December. Last week we saw a trailer release showing off the story in more detail.
NieR: Automata is coming to PlayStation 4 on March 7th 2017 in North America, and March 10th 2017 in Europe, with Japan getting it on the 23rd February 2017. It has been confirmed that it will arrive on PS4 and PS4 Pro, eventually making its way onto PC. It was also confirmed that there are no plans to make an Xbox version of the game.
