Abandon Ship to be Shown at PC Gamer Weekender

Abandon Ship, the adventure-strategy, sailing title set in a twist on the age of sail has been confirmed as getting it’s first public showcasing at the upcoming PC Gamer Weekender.

Fireblade Software will be showing off Abandon Ship, they’re upcoming open-world, FTL-like sailing game at the 2017 PC Gamer Weekender.

Abandon Ship, for those unaware, takes place in an age of sail, wax painting inspired setting which sees you playing as a captain setting out to stop a great evil. Players will command a ship in both an overworld view (think Overland, or Sid Meier’s Pirates) but then also command the crew during naval battles.

It’s not just other ships to be weary of, however, as fantastical, dangerous creatures also occupy the seas; and the danger only increases as the clock advances on the world, and the ‘great evil’ creeps forward.

Those interested in the game might do well to read our inteview with lead developer Gary Burchell from earlier in the year.

2017 is the second PC Gamer Weekender, and will take place on February 18th & 19th at Olympia London. More info on the event can be found on the PC Gamer post.
